Judge Brian D. GwinnJudge Gwinn graduated from Washington State University with a degree in both Criminal Justice and Sociology (cum laude), and then earned his law degree from Gonzaga University School of Law.  After joining the bar, Judge Gwinn worked for a private law firm in Spokane for approximately 5 years before starting in Grant County as both a private attorney and contract public defender.  Prior to taking the bench, Judge Gwinn worked exclusively with the Grant County Department of Public Defense handling various cases and was a supervising attorney for Grant County District Court.

Within the community, Judge Gwinn’s activities have included helping administrate the Moses Lake Grid Kids (youth football program), coaching youth and high school sports teams and serving as a guest speaker, announcer (football and basketball), and overall volunteer for various events within Moses Lake School District.  For years, Judge Gwinn also served as a referee and umpire for youth and high school sports in Grant County.
