GRANT COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO TAKE PUBLIC COMMENT ON THE REDISTRICTING OF
COMMISSIONER DISTRICTS AND PRECINCT BOUNDARIES
EPHRATA – The Grant County Commissioners announce they will take testimony and comments on November 15, 2021, at 2 pm on a proposed Redistricting Plan for the commissioner districts within Grant County. RCW Chapter 29A.76 requires local governments to periodically consider redistricting based on population information from the most recent federal decennial census and requires local governments to adopt redistricting plans which meet the criteria of that chapter.
The Commissioners will also take testimony on adopting Voter Precincts. RCW Chapter 29A.16-050 (1) states every voting precinct must be wholly within a single congressional district, a single legislative district, a single district of a county legislative authority and if applicable, a single city.
This meeting will be held in the Commissioners Hearing Room, 35 C Street NW, Ephrata, and also via WebEx:
