The Grant County Bridge Crew has completed the installation of an Emergency Bailey Bridge over two sets of failing fish passage culverts on Road B-SE southeast of Royal City. This provides single-lane access for a road that has been closed for over (2) years.
The two-year closure of Road B-SE has created a life safety issue for families that live on the South side of the closure. The Emergency Bailey Bridges provide temporary local access, farming access, and life safety passage, while a more permanent solution is being worked on. The installed Emergency Bailey Bridge is a stout steel panel bridge with a 67-Ton safe capacity and a 5-mph crossing limit.
