Developmental Disabilities
Renew coordinates the special needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and provides varying therapeutic interventions. We may provide educational, residential, habilitative, vocational, and service coordination to those living in Grant and Adams County. We recognize the unique needs of each person for whom we serve and maintain the highest standards of care. We pride ourselves on utilizing research-based methods across all agency programs to ensure the individual's growth and fulfillment.
To access any developmental disability services, please contact the Developmental Disability Administration. For a local (DDA) Case Manager, call (509) 764-5759. If approved for services, the DDA Case Manager will determine eligibility for the residential supported-living program, Directions in Community Living (DCL).
Renew coordina las necesidades especiales de las personas con discapacidades del desarrollo y ofrece diversas intervenciones terapéuticas. Hay servicios de coordinación educativa, residencial, de habilitación, y vocacional para los quien viven en el condado de Grant o Adams. Reconocemos hay necesidades únicas para cada persona y cada servicio requiere los más altos estándares de atención.
Servicios para personas con un diagnóstico de discapacidad del desarollo (como autismo, trauma del cerebro, o discapacidad intelectual), son manejadas por el Departamento Discapacidad del Desarrollo (DDA) que es parte de DSHS (Department of Social & Health Services). Para aplicar para estos servicios usted debe hablar al DDA llamando (509) 764-5759. Si es aprobado por esa oficina, usted podrá aplicar para servicios residénciales bajo el programa DCL (Directions in Community Living).

Community Inclusion services are available to people who are of retirement age (62 years or older), or over 21 years who and have tried traditional employment services for nine months or more.
Community Inclusion Services are based in the community the person lives and services are designed to support the goals and interests of the participant to development of relationships, skills, and connections. If you or someone you love is interested in getting Community Inclusion services, contact your Developmental Disabilities Case Manager at DSHS. Employment services are community-based, and individuals are supported to earn minimum wage or better. Services and supports are tailored to the individual with the goal that all individuals can work and contribute to their community. Parent to Parent
The Parent to Parent Support Programs provides emotional support, education, and information to families of children with special needs and/or disabilities.
Personal support from another parent, who has a child with similar needs, can be helpful in coping with many challenging experiences and feelings. Helping parent volunteers have completed a training program and are available to provide support and information to other parents. All information will be kept confidential. DCL
Directions in Community Living (DCL) is a mental health residential facility that provides on/off-site services that vary for every individual served. The Developmental Disability Administration (DDA) determines eligibility. If approved, a DDA Case Manager will determine eligibility for our residential supported-living program, Directions in Community Living (DCL)
