Emergency Management

Emergency Management is a subdivision of the Grant County Sheriff's Office that handles a variety of tasks involving planning for emergencies and disasters, responding to incidents as a coordinating agency, directing mitigation against hazards, and assisting county and local government and its residents in recovery after an incident. Emergency Management works closely with all county departments, businesses and industries, and private/nonprofit partners to accomplish these goals.

Emergency Management was established in January of 2017 following a resolution by the Grant County Board of County Commissioners. The resolution shifted the responsibilities of emergency management from a county department to the Office of the Sheriff, gaining access to additional resources and personnel.
