Golf Cart Owner Information

  • All golf cart registrations are processed by mail or at the Sheriff's Office. Below is the form for both renewal and new cart licenses.
  • Golf Cart licenses are valid from July 1st to June 30th of the following calendar year and may be renewed annually. Golf cart license requests can be submitted beginning April 1 of each calendar year.
  • First Time Licenses: The Grant County Sheriff's Office no longer conducts golf cart inspections. Owners are responsible for installing required equipment to operate a golf cart on a roadway. Equipment requirements are listed on the form linked below.
  • Once approved, the registration decal will be sent to you.
  • You are responsible to visibly display the decal on the rear of your cart.

Renewals

  • Complete the licensing form with the current and correct information. Please be sure the current registration number (example 16GC001) is on the form along with current registered owner's name which is on the last year's registration.
  • Mail the completed form along with $35 to Tonya Steele at the address listed on the licensing form.
  • If the information you provide does not match the current cart registration and we are unable to verify the renewal, your form and money will be returned to you for correction.
  • Once approved, the registration decal will be sent to you.
  • You are responsible to visibly display the decal on the rear of your cart.
