Revived in 2016, the Grant County Sheriff's Office Patrol K9 Unit includes four dogs which use their keen sense of smell to search for and apprehend suspects.
K9 Officers
The Patrol K9 Unit includes four K9 Officers, each of them trains, lives and works with a trained handler.
- K9 Chewbacca, a German Shepherd
- K9 Chicka, a Belgian Malinois
- K9 Edo, a Belgian Malinois
- K9 Grizzly, a German Shepherd
Community Involvement
The Patrol K9 Unit is always interested in getting together with community and youth groups so they can meet the K9s and handlers and learn about what they do.
