Court Facilitator Information

The Courthouse Facilitator assists pro se litigants (persons who are not represented by attorneys) in Domestic Relations Cases in selecting and reviewing forms. Services are provided by appointment only.

The Facilitator Can

  • Assist both parties in an action
  • Calculate child support when provided with income for both parties
  • Explain court procedures
  • Help a party schedule court hearings
  • Help identify which mandatory family law forms are needed
  • Make referrals to other agencies
  • Review forms you have prepared for completeness

The Facilitator Cannot

  • Assist litigants who are represented by an attorney
  • Fill out forms for a party
  • Give legal advice
  • Provide assistance in other civil matters or in criminal matters
  • Represent parties in court
  • Tell the party what to say in court
