Building

Grant County is committed to ensuring that our built environment supports the public health, safety, and general welfare of its citizens and visitors of our community.

To that end, the Grant County Building Division of Development Services enforces the provisions of RCW 19.27, the Washington State Building Code, and employs International Code Council certified building inspectors and plans examiners to ensure that construction documents are reviewed and demonstrate conformance with the code, that permits are issued and inspections are conducted throughout the various phases of construction so that the end result is to provide buildings that may be used safely and securely by current and future generations.

CODE ENFORCEMENT

Code enforcement is no longer facilitated through Development Services.  All enforcement functions are performed by the Code Enforcement Unit of the Grant County Sheriff's Office.  The Code Enforcement Unit enforces building and land use regulation as set forth in Grant County Code within the unincorporated areas of Grant County.  To submit a complaint regarding a suspected building code or land use violations, please utilize the complaint portal provided on the Code Enforcement Unit webpage.

SPECIAL NOTE
