The Fire Marshal’s office is a Division of Development Services.  The Fire Marshal reviews permit applications for structures as well as systems regulated by the International Fire Code within the unincorporated areas of Grant County.  Before submitting, please make sure your property is NOT in City limits.

Permitting Online With Electronic Review

The Fire Marshal has implemented an online submittal process for all permit applications.  Before electronically submitting your application there are a few details to be aware of.

 
Staging Area

The link below will take you to the online portal.  Once you have created your online account and/or logged in, you are working in YOUR staging area.  Anything in the staging area is NOT submitted to us.  The staging area allows you to create your application and upload the required PDF files to complete a whole submittal package.  Once you are ready, click the SUBMIT APPLICATION button to send us your submittal package.    

Incomplete submittal packages will be returned to your staging area with any deficient documents requested.  Once you have uploaded the requested PDF files, click the SUBMIT APPLICATION button to resend your submittal package.

File Format

 All files must be PDF and correct naming format as specified in  Standards & Requirements

Submittal Acceptance

Below are the Permit Submittal Packages for you to choose from.  Within the package are different forms, Building Permit Application, Site Plan, Agent Authorization Form, etc.  These forms should be filled out and included for acceptance.   

Not including a completed form may delay your plan review.  

 Mailing

If you do not wish to submit online, you can mail the submittal package to our office at PO Box 37, Ephrata WA  98823 or we accept submittals in our Lobby Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. The preferred method of returning the approved submittal is electronically through the Portal or by email.  If you have any questions, please contact our office at (509) 754-2011 Ext 3001. 

We do NOT accept submittals through email.

Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
