The Sheriff's Emergency Management Division fulfills several key public safety missions.

The Emergency Management Division provides the framework for Grant County to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from disasters and major emergencies, whether natural or human-caused. To achieve its mission, the Sheriff's Office teams with all public safety agencies, industry, businesses and stakeholders.

The Emergency Management Division also oversees the Sheriff's Search and Rescue Unit, Mounted Posse Unit, and Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (aka drone) program.
