Grant County Elections

The Elections Department administers all federal, state and local elections in Grant County. We provide voter information, register voters and maintain voter registration records.

Since 2008, all voting in Grant County is by mail. And, to return your ballot, postage is paid for, or, you can use our many ballot drop boxes located throughout the county. Check our website under "Ballot Drop Box Locations w/Images" to see which one is the closest to you.

Also, during any election, we provide disability voting equipment if needed.

Media Release from the Auditor's Office

Due to COVID-19, the Election Office is currently closed to the public until further notice.  You can register to vote at and find information on voting in Washington.  Please call our office for any information if you do not have access to internet service.  Please contact the following:

Candidate Filing Week:  Monday, May 11th – Friday, May15th.  For candidates wanting to file for office, please be prepared to file online or by mail.  To file by mail, go to the county’s website, and click on the Election tab, then click on Candidate Forms, then Declaration of Candidacy.  Print the form you need.  Please note that if you are filing for Precinct Committee Officer, it is a separate filing form and there is no filing fee.  Also, please check the tab “Offices Up for Election in 2020” to verify that the office you are filing for is actually up for election in 2020 and what the filing fee will be.  Mail your form and filing fee to our address listed above.  Filing by mail begins April 27th and ends May 15th.  All mail filings must be in our office by May 15th, not mailed May 15th.  Any filings we receive before filing week starts, will not be opened until filing opens on May 11th.  Filing for office online will not be available until Monday, May 11th at 9:00a.m. and it will close at 4:00p.m. on Friday, May 15th
